En esta documentación se describen los pasos para:

• Búsqueda automática de actualizaciones mediante una interfaz gráfica de usuario
• Actualización manual mediante la línea de comandos

Buscar actualizaciones automáticamente usando una GUI

Para evitar conexiones no deseadas a Internet, Trisquel no buscará actualizaciones automáticamente a menos que lo indique en el panel de Configuración.

Si desea que Trisquel busque actualizaciones automáticamente, siga estas instrucciones:

• En el menú principal, vaya a Sistema→Administración→Actualizador de software

• Seleccione Configuración...

Esto abrirá el panel de Configuración para las actualizaciones.

• Here you may modify whether you would like to be notified when there is a new version of Trisquel and the kinds of updates of which you would like to be notified and how often you would like Trisquel to check for available updates.

• Select your preferred option for Automatically check for updates, for example:
  • Daily
  • Every two days
  • Weekly
  • Every two weeks
  • Never

• Select your preferred option for Notify me of a new Trisquel version, for example:
  • For any version
  • For long-term support versions
  • Never

• Select Close when you have done your preferences.

• Follow the instructions on your screen, if an upgrade is available!

Manually upgrade using the command-line

To upgrade Trisquel to the newest release available, the command in the terminal is:

$ sudo do-release-upgrade

If it doesn't work, first install Trisquel's upgrader with:

$ sudo apt install trisquel-release-upgrader-core
