It is right now, dunno about when you logged in.
The FSF recently needed to deal with a number of badly behaving bots, resulting in Denial of Service. Maybe this can result in issues sometimes. Some explanations at https://www.fsf.org/blogs/sysadmin/our-small-team-vs-millions-of-bots.
"Our infrastructure has been under attack since August 2024. Large Language Model (LLM) web crawlers have been a significant source of the attacks, and as for the rest, we don't expect to ever know what kind of entity is targeting our sites or why."

thanks, this is article explains everything in details
From the same FSF blog post: "Some of the abuse is not unique to us, and it seems that the health of the web has some serious problems right now."
This felt like a polite understatement, so I followed the link behind it and ended up reading Drew DeVault's take on the topic:
"All of my sysadmin friends are dealing with the same problems. I was asking one of them for feedback on a draft of this article and our discussion was interrupted to go deal with a new wave of LLM bots on their own server."
The health of the web has some serious problems right now indeed. Glad all Trisquel websites are up and running.
One organization I am a member of had to deal with such kind of problems on its software forge, with several millions of IP addresses allocated to Alibaba. I read exactly the same thing on mastodon from another organization (same target, software forge, and same source).
