procps alternative

Hi,

Do you know it there is a "GNU" version of procps-ng? Tools to view process at the command line on a GNU/Linux system.

https://gitlab.com/procps-ng/procps

It's seem that these utility are not part of the GNU project. How to you monitor process? You look directly in the /proc directory? ps/top are "frontend" for that?

I've answered my question

You can get a lot of information about the computer in the /proc directory with the cat command.

procps tools are really hard to use and remember.
