The GameHub program shows

Install Steam
Return to GameHub after installing

GOG
Authentication required

Humble Bundle
Authentication required

Install itch.io
Return to GameHub after installing

shows

SteamOS

SteamOS, a version of GNU/Linux to be distributed by Valve. It contains proprietary software, including the Steam client and proprietary drivers. Steam uses Digital Restrictions Management (DRM) to impose restrictions on the software it distributes, as well as on the proprietary software it promotes via the Steam store.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itch.io

has information about itch.io but I do not know how to install it, if it is non-free software, or if it has non-libre software in its (if any) repository.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GOG.com

has information about GOG.com but I do not know if authentication requires non-libre javascript or something else, if it suggests non-free software, or if it has non-libre software in its (if any) repository.

https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/javascript-trap.html

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GOG.com#Features

GOG.com may have anti-features like "with the restriction that reselling and sharing is not permitted" and the 4 freedoms have a "it can be shared" requirement, but I do not know it it still has or had that anti-feature license.

Humble_Bundle may be have had "optionally-free" repositories or some games in it, though I do not know if it still does.
I also do not know if authentication requires non-libre javascript or something else.

I do not know if any of these has any policy of only hosting libre software.

Does anyone know if GameHub can be used with any libre games, I mostly just use the menu on Mate to search what games are on my system, but maybe GameHub could also somehow be make to show only libre games and not suggest installing non-free things.

I do not know if there are any libre versions of the software that this GameHub program hosted in Trisquel's repository suggests I should install, but some users may also install the non-free/proprietary_programs by mistake as it only shows the name and not where a libre version is at.

"Name Confusion"

could be a problem with what GameHub suggests can be installed.

We will not list a distribution whose name makes confusion with nonfree distributions likely. For example, if Foobar Light is a free distribution and Foobar is a nonfree distribution, we will not list Foobar Light. This is because we expect that the distinction between the two would be lost in the process of communicating the message.

In particular, the principal name of the free distribution (“Foobar,” in this example) should not be part of the name of any nonfree distribution.

Does the name confusion also apply to how this program shows I could install Steam or maybe also itch.io?

The repositories you mention mainly host proprietary software. There are a few exceptions though. For instance, if you like point & clicks, I recommend you "Superfluous Returnz", which is free software and on itch.io (among other places, including Steam): https://ptilouk.itch.io/superfluous-returnz

Thank you for that information.

Maybe somehow adding games from /usr/games/ could also help users sort games from Trisquel's repository in a place other than the Mate menu also or in addition to that. If it can somehow be done with GameHub.

It also likely is not too hard to remove non-free repository names from the GameHub program, I do not know how to do that yet though. Until than users can still skip that page by using the skip button near the upper right of the program.

https://github.com/Anuken/Mindustry

is also under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 3
maybe later also though I did not check.

Also I did not check the code to see if there are any problems in it or if it can compile on Trisquel with only libre software yet. I also did not yet check for any thematic problems or if the data is under another license.

I think the GameHub program may be used to sort/show Trisquel's games, but other people may find more things it can do as well. Maybe it could also work with more than just sorting games but also other executable programs as well.

So users can compile programs or/and use Trisquel's programs and than use GameHub to sort/show those, if that can be done with GameHub.
