extrepo question

There is a package extrepo [1], adds convenience with using external software repositories.
The description only mentions Debian, does it work with Trisquel too?
I am not going to try to use it myself because my system may get messed up if it is for Debian and not for Trisquel.
Can anybody confirm extrepo works on Trisquel?
This might be a program that might have to be removed from Trisquel. I downloaded the program source using "apt source extrepo" command and there is a file config.yaml that makes clear it allows to download from contrib and non-free Debian sources if you remove the comments.
Thank you, I will avoid using extrepo.

Thanks for mentioning that we can use apt with 'source'. I did not know.

These are contrib and non-free external repos, so you could see this package as a sort of PPA manager. The full list of repos that come with extrepo is available on the project pages - and it is indeed really dirty. If accessing all that non-free stuff is only a matter of uncommenting a couple of lines, that package should indeed not be distributed by Trisquel unmodified.
Note that the extrepo-data package has been purged, so only external repos manually added by the user will be available on Trisquel.
