Anagramarama uses really much cpu

The game Anagramarama runs my rather fast cpu at 70% even though the game is idling and absolutely nothing is happening besides one countdown clock.

My puter is usually at around 50 °C but now it is at 70 °C!

I gather the issue is software rendering of the graphics FWIW.
