Due to the complete lack of feedback or connections from the French Forum i decided on unregistering the
irc channel #trisquel.fr on freenode.

the channel therefore is no longer registered

Next time you should wait a bit longer before rushing to shut stuff down the
day after you launch it. These things take time to grow.
Also, there are hardly enough users of Trisquel in general to warrant
separate-language channels on IRC, unlike Debian for instance.
You could also have edited the Trisquel documentation on the web site to
promote the French-language thing. Did you also post in the French users
section of the forum?

I made 2 posts on French Forum without any feedback at all since Sunday.
Setting up a irc channel is quite fast (aprox30minutes)and in fact is quite easy(with proper documentation)
REGISTRATION of channel either ## or #
ChanServ GUARD ON/ SET TOPIC
Nevertheless some parametres such as Founder/FLAGS/TEMPLATES need more configurations & extra help from either freenode or experienced members.
#trisquel.fr being unregistered can be re-registered.
A more organized,formal & coordinated decision might be better.
